Straightforward bookkeeping for contractors and trade businesses

Booksmith Bookkeeping is a Vallejo-based bookkeeping firm helping contractors, landscapers, plumbers, electricians, and other trade businesses keep accurate, decision-ready books. We handle monthly bookkeeping, cleanups, reconciliations, and reporting so owners can spend less time sorting receipts and more time running jobs.

Founded by Evan Smith, Booksmith combines accounting knowledge with hands-on experience supporting small businesses in QuickBooks Online and connected systems. The approach is practical: understand how your business operates, build clean and repeatable processes, and make the financial side easier to manage.

You will not be handed off to a faceless platform. You will work directly with someone who learns your workflow, communicates clearly, and keeps your records organized.
